Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is the latest in a long line of comic book adaptations over the last few years. I have a couple of the graphic novels but really didn’t get into them (I gave up after the first two), so I didn’t really know what to expect.

I actually quite enjoyed the film, it’s a bit odd but very funny in places. Scott Pilgrim must battle the 7 evil exes of Ramona Flowers to continue to date her. Each of the battles is well done with some decent special effects and moments of comedy. The story doesn’t really make sense, but I don’t think that’s all that important. Even Mrs B got some of the computer game references which impressed me.

I’ve heard mixed things about the film, I know some people who just didn’t get it, and some who loved it. Overall I enjoyed it, but I probably need to watch it again to properly appreciate it.
