Test order number 2 was Enter the Dragon. It was delivered very quickly from thehut.com.

This film was the first Chinese martial arts film produced by a Hollywood studio, and has since been deemed as “culturally significant” and selected for preservation in the US National Film Registry.

When you compare it to Way of the Dragon, it is obvious that it cost a lot more to make. There are more fight scenes, they are better staged and the story makes some kind of sense.

Lee is approached by an operative from British Intelligence (called Braithwaite coincidently) to investigate the mysterious Han who is suspected of running a drug trafficking and prostitution business from his island fortress. To get on to the island Lee must enter a martial arts competition organised by Han every three years. Lee also learns that Han’s bodyguard is responsible for the death of his sister.

There are some decent fight scenes, the final battle standing out the most. Lee shows himself to be a pretty solid actor in what turned out to be his final role before his untimely death. It’s not as good as Jackie Chan’s “Drunken Master”, but it’s worth a watch.
