We’ve been doing a number of releases at work over the last few weeks, so I’ve bought a lot of cheap DVDs to test the checkout process. I went through a bit of a Bruce Lee phase and bought Way of the Dragon, Enter the Dragon and Game of Death.

Way of the Dragon follows Tang Lung who is sent from Hong Kong to Italy to help some family friends protect their restaurant from the local mafia. To be honest to story is pretty irrelevant, it is just an excuse to set up the fight scenes.

The fights are well staged with some humour in them, they are a little tame by modern standard. There aren’t really enough of them, but the film is ok. The highlight is the final battle with a beardless Chuck Norris. It is meant to take place in the Colosseum, but the back drop is amusingly fake. Chuck looks very young, but any film with in him can’t be all bad.
