Back in January I posted about what my favourite iPhone apps are. I thought I would post an updated after using my phone for another 6 months.

Out of the apps I used then, Facebook is the only one I still use. I’ve installed and removed loads of apps in the meantime. I’ve tried geotagging, used foursquare and gowalla, and tried every twitter client under the sun.

I still love my iPhone, it’s great for checking Facebook, Twitter and linkedin. I also use Remember the Milk for keeping track of my tasks, and the Met Office app for the weather and an app for checking the lottery. Apart from that I really just mess about with apps.

The one app that I think is brilliant is Spotify. You can use it to play music from your Spotify playlists, you can also download them to your phone for when you’re out and about. The only downside is you need to have a premium account which costs £9.99 a month. I think it’s worth it though, as there are loads of tracks on Spotify to listen to, and it would cost a fortune to buy all of them…

I just need an excuse to get an android phone so I can compare, and an iPad because it looks brilliant…

This type of post seems to be compulsory for iPhone owners with a blog, so here it goes with my favourite iPhone apps.

Number 1: Geared

Geared is a great little game where you start off with a yellow cog and have to get all the blue cogs turning. You achieve this by dropping a selection of cogs onto the screen. It sounds a lot easier than it actually is. There are loads of levels that start easy and get progressively more difficult. Various obstacles are put in your way as you get further into the game.

Number 2: Doodlejump

Another game! For this you have to get a bouncing character as far up the screen as you can without falling down. You jump off various platforms to get higher and miscellaneous nasties try to get in your way. A propellor hats, springy boots and rocket packs help you get higher. Really nice graphics and simple game play make this one really addictive.

Number 3: Facebook

A facebook client for your iPhone (not really surprising). Lets you do pretty much anything you can do on the website.

Number 4: Twitterific

There are loads of twitter clients for iPhone but I like this one best. Its really simple to use and lets you add pictures via yfrog really easily.
